Our story
A bunch of neighbors who like to ride
Ride Norfolk is an unstructured, no-drop group of cyclists in Norfolk, Nebraska. Some of us are chasing Strava segments and summer races; some of us just want a relaxed loop of town and a burger afterward. Both belong here.
What started as a few friends meeting downtown on Tuesday evenings has grown into a genuine community — some weeks 30-plus riders roll out together. We ride a 14-mile loop of Norfolk every Tuesday in season, head out on the Cowboy Trail under the full moon once a month, and throw together weekend breakfast and gravel rides whenever the weather and the group line up.
There's no membership and no dues. The only things we ask: wear a helmet, bring water, look out for one another, and leave room for the next rider to feel welcome. Weather-permitting, always — you decide for yourself whether a ride is right for you on any given day.
What we believe
How to jump in
The easiest way is to just show up to a Tuesday Chipotle Ride — roll out at 5:00 or 5:30 from Divots Downtown. Want to stay in the loop between rides? Join the newsletter and find us on Strava, where most of the group keeps in touch.
We run on Strava
Most Norfolk-area riders are on Strava — it's how the group keeps in touch, tracks segments, and shares routes. New to the group? That's the fastest way to plug in.
